Towards the end of 2017, it was announced that Head Coach, Mike Sherman, would be joining the CFL’s Montreal Alouettes after the completion of the Your Call Football inaugural series.

Turns out, he’ll be traveling north of the border with some familiar faces. Four Your Call Football players have joined the Montreal Alouettes for the upcoming season!

Ruben Carter, the offensive guard out of Toledo impressed Sherman and his staff during his 6-week stint with YCF and will be signing on with Montreal for his second opportunity with the team.

Fellow offensive lineman, Mitchell Bell out of Louisiana Tech will also be joining the Alouettes on a now YCF-heavy offensive line.

It’s no secret that the defensive secondary was a factor in the inaugural YCF series. Khalid Wooten, who made the game-winning interception in Game 1 will be joining fellow defensive back C.J. Moore in Montreal this upcoming season.

Moore also stood out in Game 1 with a number of pass breakups and tight coverage that limited Team Grit’s passing attack.

Great to see YCF being well represented in Montreal on the coaching and player front. The Alouettes kick off their season on Saturday, June 16th against the BC Lions.
